Artist description
Dăvi's debut album "Free-Form" is an emotionally
intense, pure, rock album. It is filled with
haunting songs that vary from teenage angst, to
thoughts about love, depression and pleasure.
The entire album was recorded in Dăvi's bedroom
studio with a small digital recorder, making the
whole experience very intimate and personal.
Songs like "The Top of the World" display a
vocal style that ranges from quiet and spine
chilling to loud and powerful. Mellow
instrumentals like "So Sweet" have beautifully
layered guitars playing all at once like an
orchestra. Distorted rockers like
"Now", "B.C.U.", and "Use Me, Abuse Me"
are amongst the acoustic songs, waiting to
be cranked up. "Calling Mary" and "Waterhill"
tell a story that anyone can relate to, with
lyrics that are timeless and profound. Check
this record out. Solid and straightforward,
anyone searching for a unique singer/songwriter
will find "Free-Form" to be essential for their
record collection, regardless of what their
taste is.
