Artist description
ALTER EGO brings out the best of San Antonio club audiences with its
powerful sound, riveting live performance, and skilful musicianship of its members.
Four seasoned veterans with about a century of performing experience make up the
band, with experience in bands from one end of the country to the other, and
even overseas!
Webster's defines "ALTER EGO" as "another aspect of one's personality." With the
members of this band, their alter egos provide a full, dynamic and unforgettable
performance.
Bruce Allen fronts the band with a voice that can go from rich ballad to
full-throated hard rock with ease, with stage personality to spare. Guitarist Paul
Navarez blazing leads fly up and down the neck of his guitar and and then
blasts out bone-crunching chords, all while making it look easy! Bassist Steve
Elliott and drummer Mario Ximenez make up one of the toughest rhythm
sections in town and give you that "thump" that smacks you upside the head …
but in a good way! Steve also sings lead on several songs and adds lots of harmony
vocals throughout the night.
Alter Ego covers a wide variety of music in the course of the night, from
Creed to Robert Palmer, from the Toadies to Godsmack, from 7 Mary 3 to
Blink-182, and from Alice in Chains to Johnny Cash!
There's bound to be something for everyone in their varied and ever
growing song list. So if you're looking for a change in your evening
entertainment, when you shed the shackles of responsibility from your
busy day and don your partying clothes, join ALTER EGO as they bring
your alter ego out onto the dance floor!
