Artist History
Hmmmm..... How does someone best describe their history.
I spose the best description would be that I
realized recently that the 'ol 9 to 5 thing just
wasn't doing it by itself any longer so on to (or
should I say back to) better things... And maybe
a few lif facts first then some senseless rambling
just in case you actually want to read further...
Birthplace:
---Des Plaines, Illinois (or the good 'ol
suburbs of Chicago!!).
---Birthdate:
February 14th, 1964 (yep got the bonus birthday
goin there).
---Education:
Graduated Maine West High school 1982.
Currently attending NIU & Loacal College in pursuit
of an CIS/MIS, Mathematics or Design/Engineering
degree. (boy do I look out of place in college!!)
---Music History:
Bagan guitar lessons at the age of 9, 4th grade.
praciced the song Don McCleans "american pie" for
my mother for hours on end to the tune of a kitchen
timer for 2 hour everyother day while strapped to
a chair against my will so needless to say I now
hate Don McClean & that song!! Progressed gutair
playing through lower eduaction through to High
school. Responsible for the formation of 3 HS bands
---1st Band) Stollen Gnomes collapsed quicker
than it started
---2nd Band) Waste of Time, played mostly HS parties
---3rd Band) Detention, won Prospect HS battle of
the bands in 1981, relased 2 singles locally poorly
produced by the AV dept. on cassette. The singles
were: "I did it(wasn't me)" amd "forgot my pencil"
Unfortunatley, after HS I jumped straight into the
trades and completley lost track of musical goals
and aspirations. Was blinded by the fact of "you
want to pay me how much money to go up there??"
Sure!! Sure, I'll do it!! Was straight out of HS and had
never even been presented that kind of an offer
to make that kind of money so at the time it seemed
like the right avenue to pursue, regaudless though
I have no regrets of it. It was an extremely
profitable 16 or so years.... :)
...And now twenty years later the current formation
of The ALLOY project. Mostly of my personal endeavors
and now on it's upcoming release of it's second CD!
RustRocketRecords produced 100 copies of the first
release "ALLOY" of which I distributed 46 copies worldwide
and gave away the other 54. The goal for the 2nd CD
entitled "Deconstruction" will be to produce 250
copies and distribute hopefully 1/2 to other than peolpe
that I know this time around. What you hear here on
MP3.com is a far cry in sound & it's meticulous
production quality from the actual quality of
their production onto a CD format. All tracks shake
the walls on the CD far superior to a digital
format. The tentative release date is 03/01/03.
I will post updates if there are any changes in
the release date.
And then here's the Blah Blah Blah part....
---Just for a little personal insight....
I wasn't finding that Hanging from 50 to 100 story
buildings all day wasn't going to do anything
other than make me an old guy that installled
glass and metal in buildings all his life and the
only thing to show for it, other than the nifty
union pension was going to be the usual arthritis
and back problems you find in anyone that has
honestly worked in the trades for nearly 20 years.
Hey I'm not knockin the trades and any of the
unions been a proud emeber of Glaziers & architectural
metal Local #27 Chicago the pay and benefits are
great but it just began to lack something over
time, too much time maybe. so you begin to look
back at the things you used to enjoy and dream
about and wonder what happened to it all. Well
that was easy you wasted you're best years away
arguing with jobsite formen and archtects all day
long for 15 to 20 years (an awful but unstopping
reality as the sands of time thicken on your
original passions). So needless to say due to the
descision of a few idividuals wiser & smarter than
myself, mostly doctors, I found myself back at a
"crossroad" of sorts to really allow myself to not
only look back at what once was but be able to go
back and find where it went and uncover it all for
others to see, AGAIN!
Turned out that it had never gone anywhere it was
here all along. It had been smothered by the the
stress' of our daily routine that we all go through
on a daily basis. But yet we don't realize that it
is this seemingly normal routine that makes our
seemingly invisible clock sometimes slip by
unknowingly and that it is how the sand burries
you're original path in life. It is when you
realize this that you are way off course from the
original road you intended to set out on. So in
effect it is now time for the preverbial "U" turn
of life. To go back and reclaim what has laid long
forgotten and unpolished.
