Artist description
Imagine an expansive jam band that brings together elements of 60's and 70's rock with reggae, blues and classical music. What you're picturing is Rocky's Potion, an energetic anti 3-minute song band from Albany. Rocky's Potion started as Burden Street four years ago with singer/guitarist Andrew Wheeler and drummer Rich Kaye. The most recent addition of bassist Jarrod Schneyer has created the stage chemistry needed to complete the "potion" of this three-piece band. Having played venues such as Valentines, The Larkin, Lark Tavern, Juniors and Sports World, Rocky's Potion pleases crowds with their jam band style and modern twist. While they have only been playing together with the current line-up for a short time, their long-term expectations for the band are unanimous, which makes it easy for them to move forward in the music industry. If you are into Phish, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and/or The Allman Brothers, check out Rocky's Potion: a band with the goal to bring back the style of music that made jam bands what they are today. |
