Artist History
Clockwinder was founded in the Spring of 2001 by Hilary Baker, Marc Gasway, Austin Huang (computer) and Fred Lee (keys). We didn't really have a musical agenda at the time. We just wanted to make the type of music we'd want to listen to ourselves. Our sound really became cemented with the addition of Dave Lewis (drummer, First Circle) and David Hobstetter (guitar, the Wayside).
In the Fall of 2002 we lost Fred, Dave and Austin as they all moved away for school. However, we pressed on, adding the formidible talents of Mattias Cudich (guitar, Delfino) and Nadir Jeevanjee (drums, the Calling) and the blazing young prodigy, Maya Kronfeld (keys, SF Jazz). We continue to make appearances at venues around San Francisco and the East Bay, most commonly at Blake's on Telegraph in Berkeley. |
