Artist description
According to Anti-Matter magazine, nova ovens
"combine jazz, blues and guitar pop to create a mix
both mellow and original. The ovens provide catchy
lyrics along with a solid sound, leaving memorable
songs in mind."
And if you ask their guitarist Dan, he'll say "eclectic
guitar pop along the lines of the Byrds, Television,
Lou Reed, Los Lobos, or Elvis Costello, or the Smiths,
or something like that."
Listening to the ovens, it is evident that what share
with these bands is an ability to assimilate a variety
of styles into imaginative pop arrangements. |
