Artist History Gary Young, native of the Baltimore Metro Area, began his musical journey at the age of 9 when he took up trumpet at school and the guitar at home. Throughout his development, he played tuba, encountered saxphone and mellophone, but gravitated towards the electric bass. And once a bass player always a bass player due to supply and demand. Years later he worked up the nerve and $$$ to invest in an upright acoustic bass. He has played and gigged in many situations and has finally realized a longstanding goal and New Year's Resolution by recording his latest (and first) CD entitled "Visceral".
