Artist description
I’m trying to think of the most-often asked questions people present when first meeting me. Hmm. Let me provide some answers to those questions and if you would like to know more feel free to email me. I would hope you know my name…Doug Wollman. I am in my very early thirties. I was born and raised near Huron, South Dakota and have continued to live in that area for most of my life until August 25th of 2002. How I landed up in Rapid is another story… I would be glad to have my lovely wife tell the story. I work and live in Rapid City and do so as unto the Lord. My line of work is electronic-related. My position involves making transformers that go into the company’s main product - which I will choose not to disclose right here right now - even though it’s really no secret.
Although I am currently blessed with my present job, I believe the Lord is further blessing and preparing me specifically for music ministry. One day I was pondering upon how Jesus called the fishermen (Simon, Andrew, James, and John) unto Himself. Mark 1:17 (NKJV) says it this way. “Then Jesus said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.’” I began to wonder how Jesus would finish His sentence if He were to call me in similar fashion. I began to use my imagination. Hmm. This is what I came up with…I’m also thinking I may have had a little help. “Follow Me, and I will make you become [a transformer of men’s lives.]” No words seemed to ever have rang so true concerning “my calling”…keeping in mind that He is the One doing the transforming…I am the instrument He uses through which to accomplish the transforming…and His “calling” is for me to come unto Himself…and follow Him.
Already, the Lord has orchestrated within my life several life-changing events revealing his kindness and favor. He is allowing my dreams to come true. Wow! I consider it an honor and not anything deserved. All the following is huge to me. Providing me with my beautiful wife Stacey Wollman to walk along side me is a huge blessing. Our children…Dylan, Nathan, Shelby, and Whitney…are truly blessings…(we are blessed to attend Destiny Foursquare Church). Yet another of my many blessings is also tremendous…and that is the opportunity to travel with worship leader & guitarist Ken Verheecke. Beyond traveling…Ken and I have also helped each other in the studio…also something I would have only dreamed of doing just a few months prior. My instrumental CD “Face of the Deep” (my first official recording on Wind & Wheat Music is a great example of how far “the Blesser” has reached into my dreams. I’ve wanted to record a CD project for so long! These recent developments occurred very quickly. They are life changing to say the least. Praise be to God for all He has done and for all that He is. I hope I answered some of your questions about me. |

Artist History
#1) I got married December 21, 2002 to an awesome Woman of God! Here name is Stacey... Mrs. Wollman if you will.
#2) KEN VERHEECKE AND I HAVE WRAPPED UP MY LATEST CD PROJECT "FACE OF THE DEEP". IT HAS BEEN SENT TO MASTERING AND THE RELEASE DATE WAS SET FOR JUNE 2003. Well keep ya posted.
#3) I was an "extra" in the movie "Hidalgo". The camera rolled last November and was tentatively to be released this summer. (I THINK THE RELEASE DATE WILL BE LATER.) I was dressed as a 1890's cavalry soldier...a Private. The scene I participated in is a brief depiction of the Massacre at Wounded Knee Creek in 1890. It is not intended to be a violent scene. The movie is full of horses, CAVALRY SOLDIERS, Cowboys, and Native Americans
#4) "Doug recently completed the recording for his upcoming release on Wind & Wheat Music. I have have had to privilege of hearing his recent efforts or shall I say songs and I must confess... "Face of the Deep" is going to surprise a lot of folks. Doug is possibly one of the greatest composers I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I encourage you to stay informed about this release. It promises to be one of the best for 2003!" ... Ken Verheecke
