Artist History Until 1998, CB Radio (then known only as Brent Smith) toiled away in a few pretty bad bands. In 1998, Dandy was formed and quickly became a fixture on the Ottawa music scene. After a few glorious years, a change in geography and a line-up shuffle, Dandy went on a hiatus in 2001. CB Radio found himself back in Ottawa in the summer of 2001. In the spring of 2002, he started plotting to take over the world.
