Music Style
Describe it as American Intellipop (credit to Glen Phillips). It's an acoustic-based combination of rock, pop and country with good lyrics, a dulcimer and a hint of electricity. |

Artist History
New to the music scene, Bryan Smith brings a new instrument into the rock fold.
Armed with an electric dulcimer and a lot of songs, Smith is trying to put his
own imprint into music.
Smith began playing and writing three years ago after receiving an electric
dulcimer for Christmas from his parents. In a two-year span spent living in
Oklahoma City, Smith wrote nearly 100 songs. But it wasn't until he moved back
home to Springfield, MO that his imagination got the best of him. Smith's
songwriting and playing abilities improved, and while his writing was more
sporadic, the songs were better. Smith took five songs from that year in
Missouri, took them back down to Oklahoma City, and recorded his first EP,
"Blank White Wall" in a one-day session with guitarist, producer and good
friend Josh Kingcade. The five songs from that session may be released in
the near future via his website (currently under construction). He is also
making plans for a full-length CD and some live shows in the southwest
Missouri area. |
