    Artist History
Originally named detour this was colin and scotts idea to put a band together. Detour originally was made up of colin and scott on guitars, konrad commisso on drums, and good old steve bosomworth on bass. One day colin decided to leave the band for some reason, so they got matt kurikka to replace him. I'm not sure how often that band practiced, but i do know at the end of grade 9, steve had to move to barrie, so colin rejoined the band as the bassist now. The band was changing styles and required a superfast drummer, they turned to shawn baker for this, but the superfast punk stage outgrew them eventually and with conflicting tastes in shawn and matt, colin and scott had to find new members. Colin took over matt's guitar position, and they convinced scott's friend mike butt to play bass. Also filling in for shawn was robbie benvegnu. rob, scott, colin and mike, now avs, recorded a demo in early july from their friend mike bone. Helping out on keys was todd pentney, who also played 2 shows with the guys. Everything seemed great until that first show. aVs had perhaps rushed into that, because with Mike only being able to practice once before the show, they didn't play very well. Mike decided to leave the band after that show, and replacing him was eager travis wiskemann, already an avs fan. The 4 of them played several shows, but because rob had already been in a previous band, he was forced to quit avs by his parents. The group had become pretty well established by then and it took little time for them to find mason grant, their new drummer. They jammed the songs and were ready to come back in no time. the played their best performance yet, at their return show with belvedere. After 3 drummers, 3 bassists, 2 guitarists, and a keyboardist, the band finally seems to have things working for them.
