Artist History Vidsyn was born by Nattsjel around early 1999. In the beginning he only played with session players. At the first live gig Nattsjel had two session players with him; Hr. Holm who played drums for Swedish Gates of Isthar, Azagtoth plus several other bands and Hr. Skjærstad who is a guitar player, stepped in as bass player. We only played covers. Both of them are now completely out of the picture. Here is a review from a Norwegian newspaper, HA (hamar arbeiderblad): "Norrøn rock fikk vi demonstrert gjennom gruppa Vidsyn. Hva slags budskap som her ble formidlet, skal være usagt, men bare overkropper, lær og metall og blod rennende nedover brystet var sterke saker.", "en effektfull opptreden." Translated: "We got a demonstration of Viking rock by the group Vidsyn. What message they did deliver is unsaid, but naked upper bodies, leather and metal and blood running down their chest was strong stuff.", "a effect full performance." Vidvandre joined as a full time member Feb. 2001 on synth. Vidvandre is a well know synth player in the BM scene, being a full time member of Alsvartr, Apostasy , and session player for Old Man's Child, Vintersorg etc. As a result of the music style, Vidvandre gave up the synth and began playing bass.
