Artist History
Thursday Night Pie was originated in Jamestown North Dakota when members Chris Flitton and Josh Opp came together and started writing music to accoustic guitar and piano. Then the duo recruited drummer Aaron Watts and started practicing in Prairie Community Church. The Trio then decided to play at their school's, Jamestown High School, talent show. The band of two acoustics and a drummer took 3rd in the event. A few months after the talent show "blurred", which was the band's name at the time, recruited guitarist Al van Eeckhout. Al brought to the group an electric guitar and an assortment of musical abilities and solo writing capabilities. Over time the four members got heavier in their music and started to take on the styles of rock and emo. The band has continued to expand their musical styles and capabilities and built a fairly stable local fanbase in Jamestown and surrounding communities. The band then decided to change their name to "Thursday Night Pie" after a certain occurance involving the band, an ex-girlfriend of Chris, and a pie. The band now continues to play and perform at local venues. To contact them, email them at 'thursdaynightpie@yahoo.com' |
