Artist History
Post Oak had it's humble beginnings as a Christmas present conceived by Danny Woulfe.
He wanted to present his mother with a version of the popular hymn "Amazing
Grace" rich with vocal harmonies. He joined forces with a cousin, Robin
Harrison. Robin has a tremendously soulful voice that he new would compliment
the track perfectly. Next, he added to the mix his son, Shannon Woulfe. After a few rehearsals, it was decided to take the song in a bluegrass direction. And
with only four rehearsals under their belt, they went into the studio. When
the final mixes were complete, they started sharing the song with friends.
People raved about how well the group sounded. There became a list of people
who were interested in purchasing a CD of the song. So after a little thought,
Danny decided to pursue the idea of selling a few copies to help finance
more recordings. So the name Post Oak was chosen (it is the small Illinois town where Danny's mother
grew up). It is Post Oak's goal to remain a studio project commited to playing
a variety of styles of music based around the acoustic guitar and outstanding
harmonies. It is their hope that the music blesses your life as it has everyone
involved in the project. |
