Artist History
Legendary band The Repairmen was formed in
Danville, Kentucky in 1988 by a few bored
teenagers with vastly differing musical
backgrounds.
Mixing heavy metal guitar, country sensibility,
and the do-it-yourself philosophy of punk, The
Repairmen wrote and recorded a handful of songs at
various locations around town.
The band played their only live set at Mark
Newton's now-infamous party in 1988. No
recordings of that show are known to exist.
The band split up later that summer, as the various
members left for college.
Not wanting a lawsuit from any other band out
there with the same name, The Repairmen are now
referring to themselves as Uncle Jordy.
