Artist description
TMA have been rattling out their retro pop for nearly ten years now. There's six Arses in total. Richard McNair is the singer and rhythm guitarist. He is also the Dylan of Dennistoun. Matt Fisher plays lead guitar and is the Steps of Staines. Tommy's the bass from Bedford and Andy Bruce does all things percussive. We recently kidnapped a horn section of Dougie Carrie and Alistair Robertson, collectively known as Tommy's Magic Brass. Alistair was really only brought in to be the band's sex appeal since Matt got married and fat. Adrian Cockburn is the mysterious "Seventh Arse" and his dual role is one of technological developer and drunken maniac heckler. |

Press Reviews
"A Truly Legendary Band" - Helensburgh Advertiser "the name might become a bit of a millstone around their necks as they become a bit more famous, but you can't argue with great tunes like this one..." - Glasgow Underground "so westcoast sixties look out for these scotish rockers" - The Just Foundation "I like this tune for the reason I dislike others:it's raw.But mainly because it reminds me of early NRBQ and I dig that!" - Sliiide (speaking of Getting Married Rag) "Sounds like old Nick Lowe." - REO Peterwagon (speaking of Inebriation) "Each Tommy's Magic Arse composition is a real cherry: sweet and tempting on the outside, but mind the pit! These songs have at their core teeth-cracking barbs of sarcasm. The irony is especially thick on "Retro Sixties Timewarp Kid," a Yardbirds sound-alike song which actually makes a mockery of stuck-in-the-'60s hippie throwbacks. Intelligent and wickedly funny!" - Chad D. for Listen.com "Nice Rolling Stone intro. The overall blend of the instruments is loose and casual, but you seem to pull it off.The trumpet is drunk and that's cool along with the stumbling Keith Richards vocals. All n all good job" - SW Records (re: the talented one) |
