Artist History According to legend in the Book of Invasions, the Milesian people constituted the last great wave of settlement of Ireland. They sailed from Galicia, in north-western Spain and defeated the Tuatha de Dannan in battle. They named the country Ireland in homage to the de Dannan champion Eriu. Being from Ireland and from Galicia, we call ourselves the Milesians in homage to this ancient link between the celtic peoples of our two countries.
