Group Members
Jerome Lopez is a founding member and leader of Santa Fe and has had several personel changes since it's inception. The line up you see listed here is the actual recording group of this, their debut album. From left to right the members are as follows: Dennis Allen, drummer.
Dennis had been the drummer with Dionne Warwick and several others in the upper echelon of the music world during his tenure with Santa Fe. Dennis passed away last year and will be deeply missed. This is the last recording made of this fine drummer during his time with Santa Fe. Albert Martinez has been a mainstay with Santa Fe for nearly 10 years at the time of this recording.
He has since returned to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he lives and continues to play bass and vocalize with his world class playing. On keyboards is Joe Wheeler Jr. who has since gone on to conduct the Anita Sarawek band which claims the top music position in the Asian Market today. The leader and founder of Santa Fe, Jerome Lopez.
Known for his mastery of the guitar and his impeccable vocal styling, Jerome has had the pleasure of recording with some of the top name acts in the music business. He was the award winning vocalist recorded on the single of Sarah, Sarah with jazz great, Tom Scott. He has also worked with the likes of Bill Champlin of the Doobie Brothers.
Last in this line up is Leonardo Lopez, Jerome's brother, who is also of Sante Fe's founding members. He has been traveling around the world with latin sensation Luis Miguel. Not only is he a featured vocalist and percussionist with Santa Fe, but he is also a favorite link of Sante Fe's with his debut release, "Mia". This album contains some of the best Spanish Boleros available anywhere. |
