Artist description
Ray Winch is one of the new singer-songwriters drawing influences from Rock, Country, and Folk. He has been bokked as the opening act for The Marshall Tucker Band, The Charlie Daniels Band, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, and Bruce Hornsby. Ray developed his unique vocal style singing in clubs, coffeehouses, and churches. He was a member of the Reverence Gospel Ensemble while attending Berklee College of Music. His first CD "Visions & Reflections" is reminiscent of the '70's Folk-Rock sound (Eagles, Jackson Browne, America, Dan Fogelberg). His new CD "Live At The Sacred Bean!" is a collection of live performances (11 songs with full band and 8 songs solo with percussion). While it contains mostly original compositions, there are several well-known covers such as "Margaritaville" (Jimmy Buffet), "Roller Derby Queen" (Jim Croce), "Big Yellow Taxi" (Joni Mitchell), "Little Houses" (Skip Ewing/Mickey Cates), and "Long Line Of Love" (Thom Shuyler/Paul Overstreet).
