Artist History Mat E is coming from Frankfurt/Germany. Some of the first Drum 'N' Bass artists he became acquainted with were Grooverider, Roni Size, Aphex Twin and LTJ Bukem. Bukem was the artist he was fascinated of most. His unique intelligent and atmospheric style became the major influence for Mat E, when he started producing his own music. In 1997, getting bored of listening to chart music, Mat E started mixing some of his favourite artist's tunes. Since then he never stopped producing new songs and always tried to make a new track better as the last one. So finally he started gaining knowledge in the usage of synthesizers, music composing programs and sequencers to write his own melodies and beats. So after years of practice he joined mp3.com in 1999 to develop his music online, his style a mix of LTJ Bukem's atmosphere, Grooverider's speed and Aphex Twin's ambience.

Albums July 2000 - "winning style": The first Mat E album which describes the development of his style (and lacks in production quality). It contains everything from his first experiments to some of his newer tracks. The next album "Fictions" is going to be finished on spring 2001. It will contain both, new productions and remixes of older material.

He comes outta Frankfurt Germany and has multipule influences from LTJ to Grooverider and it can be seen. There is still his originallity to hear mind you. delta quad. (space rmx) did EXACTLY what he wanted his tracks to do for people. Moved my mind as touched deeper parts of me. The beat has distinguished programing as well as a great selection of drums. Some breakz are there and some just shake your soul this was one to do just that. Exellent atmosphers and fx gleam on its horizon as well. I declare this a top song on mp3.com. Emaculant! ---- Nebula X VISIONS OF FUTURE: Take a drift into the tranquil atmospheres of your mind. Let it flow, arise into its wonder and peace and feel the eternal vibe. This is what this track does for me. An outstandingly beautiful piece. Aquatic like atmospheres touch my deepest being lifting it into spaces beyond observable horizons. This has to be one of the best intelligent tracks i have ever heard. Everything has been molded to complete perfection. It all rushes inside and out with sublime ambience.
