Artist History This project came about after a return to the home of my family in Nicaragua, I spent alot of time there learning different Musical styles of my country and rediscovering my indigenous roots in the chorotega culture of the Carazo area in Nicaragua. Along with using rythms and sounds from Nicaragua and various other Latin American cultures, We have also tapped the ancient poets of the indigenous culture of Nicaragua. Lamento de Los Chorotegas is an ancient poem/song from the area of Diriamba. Interlaced with all of this is my Flamenco guitar training, some of my eastern european heritage, Jazz (of course) and the common chaotic Neurosis of this modern age, all of this is a part of Machete.

Group Members Band consists of Marcelo Quinonez on guitar, vocals, congas, various other instruments, along with Bryan Cook percussion, Jon Markel bass, Various other musicians helped out such as Jeremy Porter keys, Laura Ettling vocals..and Jason Crotz electric bass.
