Artist History The band was formed in 1998, in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. In that very same year they recorded 2 demos. In 1999 they presented it in some clubs in the city and at the end of the same year they recorded their third demo. At the beginning of 2000 they recorded their first oficial demo álbum called "intentions" and they decided to promote it localy. ISENNGARD music is a mixture of different styles like gothic, ethereal, synthpop and industrial, their lyrics are focused on the depression, melancholy and sufferings in a metaphorical way. In their music there are atmospheric keyboards, industrial drums, electronic sequences and guitars travelling from melancholy to aggressiveness without reaching the top.

Press Reviews November 24, 2000 the magazine "La Buena Vida" wrote: "Isenngard travels from the Electronic music to genres like Gothic Rock and Pop with a fine and melancholic manufacture, influenced by the 80's Wave scene". UROTSUKIDOJI's CD Reviews - Isenngard is the musical project of Carlos Carrera. This one-man show, with the exception of some backing vocals by Monica Padilla, is based out of Guadalajara Mexico. Carlos churns out old school goth-rock, in the same vain as Love Like Blood and Two Witches, both musically, and vocally. The best songs on his latest CD, straight from mp3.com, are the more up-tempo numbers, like "Between Lust And Everything" and "In My Soul". These tunes are killer, and will take you back willingly to the goth sounds of the late 80s and early 90s. However the slower numbers, such as "Never" and "Something I Can Not Tell You", fail to hit the mark… they just never seem to pull you in, or get to where they were going. Depending on what path Carlos takes for his next release, it could be a must-have CD for your goth-rock collection, or it could fade into musical obscurity.
