Artist History
Hope Chest was formed in 1993 as an extension of songwriting that wasn't being expressed through my bands at the time. I released "A Sentimental EP" and prepared to play live, having brought on board members from local bands Jennifer Rambles On and The Rosemarys. After taking a 2 year hiatus to sing with The Masons, I revived the band again and Hope Chest was in full psych-pop production once more. A couple of years later the band was playing live constantly, had released "The Bedroom EP" and the "Constellation Prize" cd and was definitely enjoying the fruits of the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. Now having relocated, the band starts anew with new members that will have a different background instrument-wise; new songs like "Audrine", "Corduroy Sweetheart", and "Emily In Ultramarine"; and a better visual live show than before. 2001 will see the long-delayed release of the 2nd album, featuring "Sugar Fix", "Jupiter 8" and the first Hope Chest instrumentals recorded, and the forthcoming retrospective LP featuring unreleased songs, remixes, and classic tracks from "Constellation Prize" in their original mixed forms. Tune in, turn on, smoke up. |
