    Press Reviews
Open the Box O' Blues (Root) assembled by Gajan, Edwards & Kammien and you'll find a set like a redlining hot rod. Rock-solid rhythms lay the foundation for guitarist Joe Gajan, whose incisive approach incorporates unexpected big bends, quick flurries and top tone. Edwards' vocals are unusually sure, all the songs are strong nonformalaic originals(don't miss the surfy "Wave Crave"), and the recording and production are pro-quality. Bracing, highly recomended contemporary blues (and more). -Tom Hyslop-Blues Revue Magazine- Snappy, rhythmic blues shuffles accompany soulful singing and a tone-friendly guitar player who can hold his own (with one hand if he had to). The band's backbeat and boogie base makes them more fun to listen to than most nights at the House of Blues. Their feel makes one curious to see them live. -Listen.com - I'm taken with the guitar playing of Joe Gajan. In the post-SRV age, where everyone wants to play blues fat and loud, Joe plays 'em razor sharp with a slightly overdriven Strat sound that contrasts sharply with "everyone else." His fiery playing propel cuts like "So Sweet," "I'm Your Man," and the instrumental "Wave Crave." Quick, short bursts and imaganitive licks mix for an original sound. I love his playing. -John Heidt- -Vintage Guitar Magazine-
