Artist History
...so one of them is from Northern Ireland, one is from Milton Keynes, England and the other is from St. Louis, Missouri. The singer was inspired to be uninspired and so he put his guitar down for a while. The next time he picked it up he found himself in a pretty good band who's first show was opening for Bon Jovi in front of 50,000 people. Not bad.
That band made a record. "goesaroundcomesaround" was released in the Fall of 1999. They spent the next 2 years touring all over the world with everyone from the Goo Goo Dolls to Tonic to Robert Plant.
So what do they sound like? Well, Bob Mould would appreciate the songwriting. The guitars sometimes remind me of The Who. Throw all that in with Bono's naivety that we can make the world a better place and what you've come up with is FONO. Two Brits who admire American rock and one American who favours British sounds.
Yes it is weird that 3 guys from 3 different countries have come together to make music. But isn't that what music is about. It's music for the people. When you can get 20,000 screaming fans to all agree on one thing at the same time... that says something. And they're just getting started.

Press Reviews
Currie¹s pretty and inventive melodies consistently poke their heads through the fuzz and distortion of his multi-layered guitar tracks. But it¹s not all |
