Artist History
Ed Smith grew up in in New Britain, CT. He performed on keyboards with several jazz-funk bands including the Salens-Marshall Project. For several years he also performed with Adrienne Jones as a folk-acoustic duo and played guitar and percussion with several folk musicians including Stephen Nystrup and Hugh Blumenfeld. When Ed died in April, 1997, he left a score of home-recorded DATs as well as a few studio takes and two live recordings from the Folk Next Door Concerts at the University of Hartford. These songs are taken from the CD |
