Artist History Charlton Phaneuf is primarily a solo-acoustic artist who, over the past decade, has dazzled audiences with his versatility and open-minded approach to songwriting and entertaining.He started as a drummer in a highschool punk band called "Tall Tale", while maintaining an active involvement with theatre, landing several leading roles.He then went on to attend East Tenn. State University in his hometown Johnson City,TN. on a theatre performance scholarship and remained active in local and regional theatre until moving to Hampton Roads in the early 90's where he picked up the acoustic guitar and started writing songs. Having gained professional experience fronting such bands as "Viewmaster" and "On Beyond Zee..." in performances at many universities, festivals, and a variety of East Coast venues, Charlton continues to carry the torch for originality without burning his listeners ears
