Artist History
Stressant Vert, AKA Rik Green, put out his first
musical work on his own label 'Vert Syne Records'
in 1998 under the pseudonym 'Pete Brampton', after
spending time experimenting with genre-fusion via
electronic compositions. Over the next few years
his style, which included jazz, folk, lounge, drum 'n' bass
and '70s prog-rock, tightened and varied in its
influences. The result was the rare 'Stressant Vert:
Audio-Drug Collection' LP, available on MiniDisc
and Cassette only.
Unsatisfied with his first full-length under
the Stresant Vert monicker, Green was determined
to improve all aspects of the music and production
for a new full-length release on CD. Three rare
experimental EPs ['Glass Test', '_____' and
'Newen'] followed during the making of the
new album, and helped Stressant Vert to perfect
the sound before finally creating 'PIPE' in 2002,
achieving exactly what he had set out to do.
