Artist History
Pia Wilson has a legacy of singing in her family.
Her great aunt Lillie B. was an opera singer who
performed at Carnegie Hall. Her father was reknowned
in the Newark, NJ, baptist church community for
the singing ability which was a wonderful compliment
to his preaching abilities.
As a child, Pia loved to sing in the church choir.
In grade school, she played Dorothy in the school's
rendition of "The Wiz." In college, Pia put her
love for music on the backburner as she emerged as
a strong writer; however, she did appear in a
production of "Schoolhouse Rocks."
As an adult, Pia successfully pursued a writing
career, including screenwriting. Now, at age 31,
she has happily returned to music as a jazz
vocalist. And a pretty darned good one at that! |
