Artist History The band “Doppelganger” was formed in December 1994 by Alexander Klimov (bass/vocals) and Andrey Malinowski (drums). In February 1996 the band was joined by a guitarist Vyacheslav Tutyakov. In this line-up the band had recorded the first album “Doppelganger”, which was released by an independent label “Angel’s Of Hell”. The whole 1995 year the band played a lot of gigs in Moscow and performed at several festivals in Ukraine and Belarus. The second album “Serpent’s Land”, which was recorded with a help from musicians of Goresleeps, was released in May 1996 on the same label. The performance on “Deathrider” festival in May 1996 was to be the last one… The band vanished into haze. In may 2002 the band was resurrected by the drummer Andrey Malinowski and bassist Dmitry Tishin, who had just left the band “Saints Everlasting Rest”. The line-up became stable as a guitarist Yury Nikitin had joined the band. Right before the recording of promo “Love Is Like Suicide” Yury Postoev was invited as a vocalist, whose duties had been temporarily held by Dmitry. The promo was being recorded from July till November 2001 in homestudio of Max Fedoseev (the guitarist of Wishmaster), who also took part in recording rhythm and lead guitar parts. In April 2002 the song “Dead Heart” was included in compilation of Play magazine. At the moment the band is preparing to record a full-length album.
