Artist description Dave Beatty is a Contemporary Praise and Worship Band Leader who calls the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Oregon) his home. Dave has been privileged to serve in music ministry in four churches since 1986 (professionally since 1991), and has been continuing on today in his role as a guest Worship Leader for camps, churches, retreats, and other venues large and small. Dave generally leads his powerful, moving worship from his pair of acoustic Ovation guitars, and uses a wide variety of Contemporary Praise and Worship styling from Maranatha!Music / Promise Keepers, Vineyard, Integrity Hosanna, Little Peach, and other original work. Although Dave has been involved many studio projects, his work is more prominently on the worship stage. You can find some of his work posted here on www.mp3.com. Artist History Growing up in Southern California beach cities, he was exposed to the ever-growing Contemporary Christian music scene at a young age. Greatly influenced by Petra, Stephen Crumbacher (crumbacher.com), Steve Taylor, DeGarmo and Key, Mark Heard and similar Christian artists of the 1980s, he set forth to impact his world for Jesus Christ with music. Dave is the son of Dr. Dennis Beatty, pastor of First Baptist Church of Prescott, Arizona (http://www.firstbaptistprescott.com/). Dr. Beatty has been Senior pastor for two other churches since the early 1980s: Bethany Church (a.k.a. Bethany Baptist Church) of Long Beach, California, and Fair Oaks Baptist Church in Concord, California.
