Artist History While Mama was always after her girls to learn the piano, daddy always wanted us outside, playing where we weren't in the way. I practiced music on anything I could rattle, bang, or shake. Both parents encouraged us girls to sing in choir and study music. We began learning at about age 3. By age 13 I'd written my first song playing on a tiny Casio keyboard. In college, my classes included guitar and non-linear digital audio. Since graduating in 2001, I squeeze in music between career development and community work.
