Artist description
A wooden flute player, playing Irish trad Music in New Zealand. My style is a mixture a a few different elements as I have only been able to learn form CD's and there is
no particuar style prevelant in New Zealand.
Now that I am studing flute at the Irish world music centre at the University of Limerick
I am propeling my style towards
a driving, rhythmic, breathy type of playing. |

Artist History
I grew up In Dunedin, New Zealand and have been playing the whistle for 8 years and the flute for 5 years.
I was a member of Dunedin bands Blackthorn and Marannan. With marannan I performed and taught at several festivals.
Since the demise of those bands i have completed musical projects with two bouzouki players, Bob McNeill for Dunedin, with whom I toured New Zealand in
August 2002 and Mike consiodine with whom I recored the Album Mountain Air, released in September 2002. |
