Artist description
In their short career, Saint X has passed quite a few milestones. The four-piece Toronto outfit has accumulated a serious gigography throughout the past few years (and can boast at over 50 shows at the horseshoe to date). The popularity of their live show is credited to the bands collective sense of fun and irony.
To define Saint X in a nutshell is near impossible. With their own unique breed of cross-genre rock, the band has appeal for every age bracket, but avoid mainstream and underground musical archetypes. It could be described as a medley of funk, modern rock, and metal, doting on their musical influences like Stained, Red Hot Chili Peppers, RATM, Creed, and Alice in Chains. Lead singer Dax’s lyrics represent a familiar dichotomy as well, always batting back and forth between youth and maturity, severity and humor, stability and recklessness – A balance that connects them to their fan base, but never loses the plot of the fun.
