Artist description
With Hot Rod Imagery and Demented Guitar Licks you'd think Mofos were from Southern California, not New York, but a listen to their music makes them seem like their from another planet all together. Combining elements of Dick Dale, Link Wray, The Ventures,Motorhead and the Ramones, Mofos have created a Genre unto themselves. Call it "Surf-Instro-Metal", call it "Spy-fi Spaghetti Western", but better yet, don't call it anything at all, just pop their disc into your CD player and experience a sonic assault that's as visceral as it is original. |

Press Reviews
Surf music became popular in the early 1960's, when Dick Dale and the Ventures scored chart hits. But the Mofos put their own twists on the style, weaving rockabilly, punk and metal influences into what some have called a "Surf meets Sabbath" sound. The band's strength is its interplay among the three instruments, with Wilson's drumming rumbling drum grooves laying down a solid bottom while Siperko's guitar and Trichon's bass duel it our on the melodic end.
