Artist description Michael Wirtanen, singer-songwriter Former Mid-Westerner now residing in Southern California, Michael brings an edge to music through his voice and piano that proves a rich new sound for the music world. With his piano, stories, and voice Michael brings forth a soul in this solo release clearly representative of his creative involvement and many performances with the funk band, Moral Groove and the rock band, Overstand. With influences from Ani Di Franco to Elton John, Michael has found his own writing style. A trained professional dancer, too, Michael has seen many shows and competitions throughout the country even sharing the stage with Lionel Richie. With his many gigs in Southern California, Michael's voice and keyboard have seen stages as large as the Roxy, Grove, and Coach House, as small as the Ocean Brewery, and enriching enough to fill Michael Wirtanen with all the live experience, and recorded original songs needed to prove this new place in music history.
