At a time when people are looking for answers that deal with the worlds everyday struggles and uncertainties, James Michael combines his pop-rock blend of music with meaningful lyrics that encourage, inspire, and challenge the listener to see the reality of Gods simple truth and love in their lives. I felt led to write songs that truly touch all aspects of a person-body, mind, soul, and spirit- James explains. I felt it wasnt enough for me to just write and sing songs about God, but also to be real and vulnerable about myself- how I have hurts, fears, and struggles like everyone else and need Gods grace and forgiveness to give me hope and freedom in my own life. His passion and thought-provoking music can clearly be felt and heard in the singles, Do You Really Know, Want to Be Happy, and Immaculate Perception from the project titled, Faith Hope Love. When asked about the motivation behind the project, James responds, So many times in life, we make mistakes or the wrong choices, because we forget simple truths and lifes lessons. Each in their own way, these songs are all personal reminders of Gods truths, lessons, and challenges to me. James adds, a good example is the song, Do You Really Know- the song really challenges me, by forcing me to judge my own dedication to Christ. I really love the funny and upbeat song, Want To Be Happy because it is something in the world everyone wants and can relate to- Landa Taylor, co-owner of T.A.G. Team Productions, states. It also reminds us that no one is immune from having bad days. When describing the impact of the song, Immaculate Perception, Studio Engineer & Christian hip-hop artist, Miraj adds, -this song reminds me that in the midst of the worst circumstances we feel we could ever face, even contemplating suicide, God is still there. It also presents prayer in its simplest definition-pouring out your heart, thoughts, and feelings to God and listening to His response. I hope that from this album people see how God is not an impersonal force or, indifferent and uncaring to our needs and struggles- but rather a loving Father who wants to be an active part of our lives, James expresses, the key is actually opening our hearts, and yielding our wills to let him in. 'Faith Hope Love' is an album that does more than just blend good music with spiritual, thought-provoking lyrics. It also gives the listener a lot of personal experiences to draw from for their own spiritual journey.
