    Artist History
Hailing from San Francisco, Jackson first appeared in public, playing harmonica and acoustic 12-string guitar, playing folk and blues, in a coffee shop on Grant Avenue, The "Coffee And Confusion", in the late '60s. In the early '70s, he was a member of a popular San Francisco club band, The Pine Street Band, playing rock and blues, as their lead guitarist and vocalist. In the late '70s, Jackson met Declan Mulligan, original member of San Francisco's first top-10 hit-making rock & roll band, The Beau Brummels, and soon was asked to join in the reformation of the group, as vocalist-bassist. This union with The Beau Brummels was to span nearly 20 years, until Jackson decided to retire to The Philippines, where he now resides. In 2001, Jackson recorded a collection of tape demos, with the intention of recording his own CD. The project was aborted, though may be possibly taken up again in the not-too-distant future. The recordings, here on mp3.com, are from his demo collection. Three of the songs from the projected album are tributes to his former band, one being a re-recording of one of The Beau Brummels singles, "Don't Talk To Strangers", and two of the others are unreleased songs written by Brummel original members, Ron Elliott, and Declan Mulligan. The rest of the songs from the project are Jackson Hart originals.
