    Artist description
    Emmy award-winner Michael Whalen is one of the most sought after composers in the United States. A veteran of 280 TV and film scores, 1300 advertising scores, and numerous themes and corporate identity pieces his music has been heard by literally hundreds of millions of people. His most recent scoring credits include the forthcoming feature films "Seasons of Life" and "Lake Desire". His most recent television network credits include the 8-hour National Geographic special "The Shape of Life", the 4-hour PBS/American Experience special "Ulysses S. Grant", and work for CBS, Disney, Hallmark, Turner, and many others. Michael is a prolific recording artist who composes pop songs, ambient, new age, classical, and jazz music for a variety of recording labels. He is currently completing his first symphony, "Sacred Spaces", and his third string quartet. His previous CD, "Mysterious Ways", was released in September 2001 on Koch Records. His new project, "Like Rain Through My Hands", will be released in early 2003. Michael also wrote and produced a song for the recently released "Yu-Gi-Oh" TV soundtrack for Dream Works Records. Michael is also an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Michael lives in New York City.
