Artist description
The Red Brain was formed the summer of 1994 in Maysville, Oklahoma by Race Baker and Austin Turner. The Red Brain Sound, in literal terms, is a strange blend of psychedelia, lo-fi pop, alternative rock, noise, sound art, freak-out, romantica, and at times even border-line prog-rock. Similar artists include Syd Barrett, Brian Wilson, The Mothers Of Invention, The Moldy Peaches, God Speed You Black Emperor!, The Red Krayola, and the Beatles' Revolution 9. The basis of the Red Brain is in beauty, sincerity, and humor. The Red Brain catalog consists of at least 20 unreleased albums, and hundreds of songs. |
