Artist description
Dun Moloch's music is a heavy blend, styled in the vein of numerous death metal bands. Influences include but are not limited to Illdisposed, In Flames, Obscenity, Mortician, Morta Skuld, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir and many others. Savage guitars and hammering beats blend into grooves lit off by a powerful vocal presence. Dun Moloch brings a new level of Brutality to Colorado...

Artist History
Dun Moloch was formed in December of 2000 by Rich Marcus (bass & vocals, ex-Vindiction), Mike Cunningham (guitar & vocals, ex-Vindiction) and Sean Cox (guitar) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Soon after the band was joined by Justin Dunlap (drums). Dun Moloch played numerous shows throughout 2001 including opening for Morbid Angel and God Forbid. In the fall of 2001 Rich gave up bass duties in favor of focusing on his vocals. A temporary replacement bassist was found, but didn't work out. In early 2002, Justin left the band to pursue other opportunities in Florida. Mike(2) Kuhn (ex-Downfall) was brought in on Drums and completes the current line up.

Press Reviews

Luckily I was able to see these guys live after hearing this CD. Because it was recorded live and I assume on a very low budget, it doesn’t do the band justice. Live though they are a very heavy death/ thrash metal band with a ton of energy. When I saw them they were bass-less, but still pulled it off even without the low end.
“The Dungeon Sessions” brings you nine songs, and for only being together for seven months prior to this recording, these nine songs are pretty impressive. I will definitely look forward to an actual studio release. Give these guys seven more months and they could do some damage.
