Artist History
When Day Breaks has a long and rather awesome history. A long time ago in a galaxy located here in the crappy town of Canton, the members of When Day Breaks were in two different bands and they both sucked pretty horribly. The first, Random Cause Unknown, contained Scott Zero (guitar), Andrew Kenyon (bass), and a little bit of Joe McGuigan (drums). There were no vocals but the music was badass and delicious. The second band, NSV, had Gerrit Reynolds (vocals), Tom Muller (guitar), Chris Duran (bass), and John Borchert (drums). The music was ok and the vocals were existent. The musical greatness from Random Cause Unknown and the vocal greatness from NSV were put together and Proposition 28 was formed. Some people quit or were forgotten. Scott kidnapped Chris, Tom, and Gerrit and beat them until they told him the secret of writing and singing songs. He then began writing songs and singing. Hooray! The big five were Scott Zero (guitar/vocals), Tom Muller (guitar), Andrew Kenyon (bass), Chris Duran (vocals), and John Borchert (drums). After about six months together, Proposition 28 recorded the CD Never Looking Back. It had some decent songs and surprised a few people. Other than those people, the world didn't notice (*insert cricket chirp here*). Then Australia stole Tom. Chris started playing guitar and kept singing. Then Chris realized that he hated singing and stopped. Then Chris stopped writing songs (maybe just from the trauma of Scott's beatings). Scott took over all the vocal duties and started writing all the songs. Some time around here they played at their school for a metric buttload of people and surprised more future fans. But the future had not arrived yet and the fan base stayed at about seven people. Nobody cared yet. Then John wrote a song. Then Chris wrote a song. Then they realized that they had the worst band name since The Butthole Surfers. So Proposition 28 thought for six months about how crappy their name was and had a few good ideas. Radioactive Fire hydrant? No. Reclusive Spruce? No. Baby Manglin' Scott and The Puppy Destroyers? Not quite. When Day Breaks? Naturally! When Day Breaks represented everything good that had ever happened in the universe up to that point in time. Due to some technical difficulties and unfortunate circumstances, nobody cared. When Day Breaks then decided to do what no band had ever done before. Record more songs! They will soon find out if anyone cares. When I asked my magic 8-ball if anyone would care, it said "Please stop shaking me, I have a terrible headache." Then I said "Holy crap! A talking magic 8-ball!" Then I threw my talking magic 8-ball out the window and wrote this bio on the best band... ever. The rest is history and you will see When Day Breaks on Behind The Music. |
