Artist description
It's no surprise that Linda Gaal's life is built around her music. Linda has
been singing since she was a child, starting out in church and school events and
working hard to earn her place in national venues, including the Aladdin in Las
Vegas.
Linda has been a vocalist for several bands since 1995, including the Shrinking
Violets, the UltraViolets, Radio Iodine (local band-gone-national), and she now
fronts two local favorites: UltraViolets 2, The Linda Gaal Band. In these bands,
she has played with big name bands including the likes of Christina Aguilera,
Ton Loc, Live, SmashMouth, Sugar Ray, Blessid Union of Souls, Joey McIntye, the
Venga Boys and more!
Some other highlights of Linda's musical career include performing her music
live many times on local radio stations, garnering recognition and airplay from
several stations including one in Madrid, Spain, gracing the cover of St. Louis'
own The Riverfront Times, and singing the national anthem at a St. Louis Storm
National Soccer Playoff game.
Linda has also performed twice nationally at the Children's Miracle Network.
In 1999, Linda Gaal released a five song EP titled "So You Think You Know Me."
Her full-length follow-up, "Mars Calling Venus," was released in August 2000.
She's currently working on her third album with her new band, The Linda Gaal
Band.
