Artist History
Starting out as a Thursday night basement jam in late 2000, BridgeStreet was formed when the same musicians started to consistently show up for the jam. Playing old blues standards and a few of Bill Baldwin's (Lead Guitar, Vocals) originals, the band decided to concentrate on its own music. Steve Baldwin (Vocals) began writing lyrics to the group's instrumentals and then bringing his own material in. Les Schriber (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals), who joined the line-up in the spring of 2001 brought a consistency to the guitar layering that helps give BridgeStreet its distinctive sound. After a whirl-wind 2002 schedule, where BridgeStreet performed in most of the Philadelphia areas "A" rooms, original members Danny Aquilone and John Voorhees left due to personal obligations. Not losing a beat, auditions found Eric Peterson (Bass) and Mark DeGregory (Drums) who have only improved the band's all ready tight rhythm section. BridgeStreet's debut CD from Little Devil Records titled "Old Flames" featuring both the original and current lineup is a solid collection of Blues oriented Rock with a little country thrown in for good measure. You can hear a sampling on our Sounds page.
BridgeStreet's song ScoobyGroove was submitted to Atlas Third Rail Management in the fall of 2001 for the Warner Bros. movie Scooby Doo released in June of 2002, and was highly considered for the soundtrack.
