Artist History
Born of a strange scientific fusion between a
Harley-Davidson rodeo and Polynesian art,
Paradise is the very first band to record
volcanic rock.
The story begins during the heat waves of summer
2002. Jet Phil and Frank Kelly are enjoying
strawberry daiquiris when they suddenly discover
a common unyielding passion for pop Tiki art.
No longer than a few power riffs later, Paradise
takes shape.
With cascading aspirations, in only six weeks,
they deliver nine muscular songs, which compose
the first album. The band benefited from the
help of notorious musicians such as :
Michel “Away” Langevin (Voivod),
Mike Plant (Sword, Too Many Cooks) ,
Xavier Cafne and Richard Eusanio. The mix
and mastering were done in New-York by none
other than Glen Robinson.
The party is only beginning. Their first live
appearance was at the Olympic stadium for the
25th edition of the Montreal super motocross .
Not bad for those rock anthropologists on the
Kon-Tiki voyage.
