Artist History
In 1997, a man named Daniel Carrone had a vision. A vision of breaks and beats that swirled around the room making others dance and move. Even though he was a DJ for over 10 years, this man had never created a single track or had ever written a single note before. Writing his own music was a thought and a dream to him, but never a reality. Since he had played alto saxophone in school band and taken piano at the age of 6, there was no doubt that this man could create and produce a fresh and new style of breakbeats. From his experience in the New Orleans nightclubs, he knew there was more to this electronic art than just mixing this music in clubs. The technology to create was so far out of reach for him though. Could he conquer the root of all evil to gain the tools needed to express his heart? Yes he could…and Tears of Technology was born. With the creation of his first few tracks, others noticed that this artist gift with breaks was unbelievable. Such tracks as “Mad Breaka”, “Tha Rain”, “Take Me Away (504 Remix)”, and “Halloween” made others look and listen. All had the same response, “those beats kick ass…” In October of 1999, there was a remix contest by Beatflow.com, Hardknox and Jive Electro. The Tears entered with no expectation on winning. In May of 2000, Tears of Technology was announced as the winner. On August 13th, 2000, The Tears was featured on the 12inch single “Attitude” by Hardknox with a mix he had created using only his personal computer. No external hardware was used for any of the music he was creating. Soon afterwards, Deltaphobia wanted the Tears to remix a single entitled “Spilt Static”. It was a smash crash breakbeat track. Not too much longer after that, Sony Playstation contacted him wanting his skills on a remix project featuring gaming music. The CD was a compilation of music from a game called “Summoner”, remixed by various artist and producers. The Tears created a track called “Machival”. This track was so dark and evil, it captured the ears of many. In May of 2001, Sheltershed wanted the Tears on a track entitled “Cloud City”. The 504 Electro Remix can be heard in store on the maxi single in July 2001. These releases have helped this artist / producer rise to new horizons in his career. Now after 4 years, and almost 70 tracks later (this includes remixes, mega mixes, originals, and melodies), this artist / producer is kicking harder breaks and smoother rhythms than ever. I bet we see this artist around creating and remixing in the underground scene for many more years to come… |

Press Reviews
"The frantic pace of breakbeats swirls around the room and fills your body with the need to move..highly recommended…" – Alex from Raw42.com
"Stunning breakthrough artist Tears of Technology." – Jive Electro
"The unique breaks are excellent." - Bruce Satinover from Amp3.com
"Very cool…the breakbeat that joins is, simply put, it kicks ass. Lots of good change ups to spice up the track and save it from becoming too dull. This track along with all the others, are highly recommended." – Fabrik Nos from Electronic Reviews.
"This new indie artist has developed a simple new aural experience blending breakbeat, deep funk and hardcore electronica. Turn the lights off, the strobe on and start the fog machine, then let this stuff pull you clean out of reality and into a devilish dream." – Riffage.com
"This is quality from start to finish. The track comes close to being drum n bass rather than techno but ultimately that is pretty irrelevant; the only thing that matters is that this is great to listen to…you get a high quality, well produced piece which is a very pleasing listen." - Self Bias Resistor from Trax in Space.com
"Slammin' techno beats blast into an electronic groove in "Understand (The Concept of Love)" – Amp3.com
