Artist description
The music of "wasserstoff" is a mixture of Elektronika, Techno, Ambient and Big Beat. The result is an absolutely new music-style. Because of that fact, my music doesn't follow any rules. This may be the main reason for you to listen to it. I have created this project in an old romantic city called Heidelberg in Germany (you know surely the Heidelberger Castle) in my own castle (my home is my castle says the Englishman). Since my equipment consists of only two synthesizers (it is a Roland D-20 and an Access Virus, for those who know them), one mixer (SM-2550, for those who know it either, but don't ask me, I don't know it. I thought SM would be Sado Maso because of the ugly noise it makes) and the famous application Cubase VST 4, you have to be very creative to get the best and the rest of your equipment. Sometimes I use my computer as a virtual drum machine and the Access Virus as an equalizer with some filtering functions. |

Press Reviews
"Mixing Ambient drone with downtempo rhythms and the occasional Space Rock touch, wasserstoff forge new directions in the field of music hypnosis. Within their narrow subgenre they mix and match a surprising variety of sounds." - Noah E. / "... never heard such a music before!" - Tohuwabohu / "Exists in a mellow netherworld somewhere between D'n'B and trance. Systemleben almost has the soul of old-school Detroit stuff." - Audiogalaxy / "wasserstoff is one my favorite artists I have found via mp3s & the internet. His songs have a solid sense of structure, not just one groove. I also like that his CD has a flow, not just one song being re-written and re-done. This being said, it is probably more for listening than dancing. Also, considering his stripped down working arrangement, the production is solid." - RChandler |
