Artist History Out of the void comes a sound that may have started as a passing subway train which evolves into a hectic beat bubbling somewhere beneath the ether just outside of reach. A voice calls from some forgotten dream announcing a lush pad rising from the deep which breaks down into what can only be described as a breakbeat of crazed perportion...but is that really a breakbeat? This is unit. Born of an eclectic record collection just as likely to contain J.S. Bach as Squarepusher or the Smurf Singalong, a virtual obsession with non-repetitive existence and an addiction to wicked beats, unit (aka Mr. S. Pants (aka cristian fleming (aka dotman))) creates the perfect soundtrack for todays ADD inflicted society. His is a world where each step is different than the last and every beat opens a new door for the listener to explore. Armed with an army of samplers, synthesizers, pots, pans, friends and whatever else makes noise...he twists it all into a sonic landscape at once both beautiful and...well, weird. But weird is by far more interesting than not and unit takes that to an extreme on all levels. Thank you and have a nice day.
