Press Reviews
"...And Some". . . starts off with a funked out Herbie Hancock/hip-hop infused song entitled ?Atiluap?, travels halfway through the album into a more sophisticated classical arena for ?Dear J.S.? and finishes with a nice trasition into a passionate reworking of the standard ?God Bless the Child?. The best thing about this album is fluidity. All of the tunes have their own set of spices and seasonings that gives each its own flavor, but they flow methodically from one to another . . . the Jacob Elijah Aginsky Trio produces a cohesive sound that focuses on the whole rather than the expression of an individual.?-North Coast Press, May 1999 |
