Artist History
Corey Dixon and the Zvooks are a traditional
ska/rocksteady/reggae group
based out of Chicago, Illinois and have been
playing since 1998.
In 2000 the group went to New York and recorded
their first full length
album, "Calm Down" (Mad Butcher Records),
at New York Noise studio with producer
Vic Ruggiero (the slackers, stubborn all-stars).
The album was released in the fall of 2001,
followed shortly by
an EP, "Come and Go" (Mad Butcher Records),
which was recorded earlier that summer.
In the Winter of 2001/2002, the Zvooks toured
Europe in
support of their releases. August 2002 brought
the Zvooks back to Europe for a
second tour and the recording of their third
album, "Leasons Learned", soon to
be release on Mad Butcher Records in Germany
and on Jump Up! Records in the U.S. |
